Jordle

A Wordle clone for learning Japanese Kana -- Hiragana & Katakana

TypeScriptReactNext.jsTailwind CSS
viewing: jordle

A gamified approach to learning Japanese Furigana. Jordle takes the familiar Wordle mechanic -- guess the word, get color-coded feedback -- and applies it to Hiragana and Katakana character recognition.

Each round presents a set of Kana characters and the player types the matching romaji (romanized Japanese) to identify them. Green means correct, yellow means close, gray means wrong -- just like the original, but instead of English vocabulary you're drilling Japanese phonetic alphabets.

Built as a way to make daily Kana practice actually fun instead of grinding flashcards. Supports both Hiragana and Katakana modes, tracks your streak, and runs entirely in the browser with no backend required.

Deshi Mate[WIP]

Deshi Mate

A gamified Japanese-learning app for Android, from JLPT N5 upward

FlutterDartRiverpodDrift/SQLiteFSRSGitLab CI
[ REPO PRIVATE // LINKS COMING SOON ]
viewing: deshi mate

Nine mini-games, including kana flick typing, konbini listening drills, vocabulary, counters, sentence cloze, dictation, and speed runs, all feeding one shared proficiency engine. FSRS spaced repetition and Bayesian knowledge tracing decide what each learner sees next, so practice goes where you are weakest instead of cycling a fixed deck.

It starts at JLPT N5 and grows toward N2. It is local-first: progress lives on the device and works offline.

Status: work in progress, in closed beta on the way to a public Google Play release. The repo is private for now; links coming soon.

Pedalboard3[WIP]

Pedalboard3

A live-performance VST plugin host, rebuilt from the ground up

C++20JUCE 8CMakeCatch2VST3AULV2GitLab CI
[ REPO PRIVATE // LINKS COMING SOON ]
viewing: pedalboard3

A modular plugin host for playing live: chain VST3, AU, and LV2 effects and instruments on a patch board, then switch between setups mid-song. It is a ground-up rebuild of Niall Moody's Pedalboard2 (2013) on JUCE 8 and modern C++.

Already working: live MIDI and OSC control, multi-patch banks with Program Change switching, a mappings UI, crash guarding for misbehaving plugins, and the built-in tools from the original (transport, file player, recorder, looper, metronome). Windows is the primary target, with macOS and Linux builds alongside.

Status: work in progress, heading for a first public beta. The repo is private for now; links coming soon.

Pants2Day[WIP]

Pants2Day

Is this delivery order worth it, or should you put on pants and go get it?

Next.jsTypeScriptTailwind CSSFirebaseStripeClaude APIGoogle Maps Platform
[ REPO PRIVATE // LINKS COMING SOON ]
viewing: pants2day

Snap your delivery-app cart and Pants2Day works out what the same order costs picked up in person. It then prices the round trip by walking, biking, transit, or driving, and turns the difference into an implied hourly wage. Then it tells you whether the pants are worth it.

The math is always shown under the verdict: it recommends, you decide. It launches US-only, covering DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub.

Status: work in progress. The repo is private for now; links coming soon.
